Edison High School College and Career Advising
Edison High School’s college and career advising begins in 9th grade with classroom presentations led by the Guidance Specialist.
By 11th grade, students work more closely with our Academic Counselor to create well-informed plans for life after high school.
In 12th grade, students and parents participate in information nights and workshops to finalize post-high-school plans.
Whether the next step is entering the workforce, taking a gap year, enrolling in a community college, attending a four-year university, or pursuing a trade program, our goal remains the same: Every graduate leaves Edison with a diploma and a plan.
Edison High School’s College & Career Center provides a personalized college and career guidance program for each student. Students and parents engage in college and career guidance activities starting in the 9th grade and begin working more closely with their guidance specialist and the College/Career Specialist in the 11th grade to make well-informed plans for the students' post high school years. Whether that be going straight to the workforce, taking a gap year, or attending a community college, four year university, or trade school we want all students to have a diploma and a plan!
