Freshmen Parent Meeting

We are having a 9th grade parent meeting (for current 9th graders), on Wednesday, March 30 from 6:30-8:00pm in the Library at Edison High School.  This event is for parents wanting to understand what is going on with their freshmen. We think this will be helpful to parents and also for families to realize they are not alone in this volatile season of their student's life. 

 

Triona O'Mahony, one of our Guidance Specialists, will be there to answer questions pertaining to classes and making up classes.

 

Linda Temple, our Student Support Specialists will discuss four realities that are impacting students:

1. Fallout from Covid

2.The huge adjustment transitioning to high school with little preparation

3. Executive functions that are not yet developed in the freshman brain

4. and much more.

 

We are very much looking forward to this event and hope that it will be very helpful to our parents and students.
