Volunteers in Public Schools

CVF

We encourage parents to explore working with  volunteer groups based on their interests and availability. Being an active part of a volunteer group will significantly enhance the school experience for both parents and students. It’s a wonderful way to bridge the gap between home and school life while contributing positively to the overall educational environment. High School years can be an uncertain time for parents, not being so in touch with what is going on in your students school life.  A great way to stay connected is to become involved with the school.

Why WOULD you want to volunteer?
Supporting Student Success:
When parents are actively engaged in school, students tend to perform
better academically. They feel supported knowing their parents are interested
and involved in their education

Voice in Decision-Making:
Being involved in parent groups provides an opportunity for parents to have
a voice in decisions that affect their children's education.

Building Relationships:
Getting involved in school activities fosters relationships
between parents, teachers and administrators.
