Purpose of MUN Boosters:

To support and promote the Edison MUN 4-year social studies honors program that involves students in simulations of the debate, discussion and problem-solving activities of the Untied Nations. 

MUN students participate in conferences that are sponsored by colleges and other high schools. Each school is assigned countries according to the number of students they have attending the conference, and each student is assigned a particular topic for that country. Students must re­search their topics before the conference and be prepared to represent the policy of the country they have been assigned. Conferences can last from one day (the norm for freshman conferences) to three days at major college conferences.  Extensive travel is involved.

Fundraising:

Students and families sell Holiday Greenery in October and students volunteer to work the gift-wrap tables at Border's in South Coast Plaza .  Gift-wrap begins the weekend following Thanksgiving and continues until Christmas Eve.  Donations are accepted and we encourage you to shop Border's in South Coast Plaza and have our talented students wrap your purchases.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers are always needed to serve on the MUN Booster Board and to help with our Edison Conference in October and at our Freshman Conference in January.  Anyone willing to help with either the Greenery or Gift-wrap would be appreciated as well.
